SALARY RANGE: $164,333 - $212,458 per year

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)

Nokia of America Corporation, Software Engineer (Multiple Positions), Sunnyvale, CA. Design and develop embedded software for data center and Nokia's SDWAN products, based on a combination of Nokia's proprietary software and open source components. Design and develop embedded and offline tools to monitor the health of Nokia's gateway products for SDWAN offerings. Work with the system test and software teams to identify open source and proprietary tools, and develop more in house tools if needed, to isolate and root cause bugs and design issues faster in the live networks. Enhance various software modules for periodic check-pointing of respective module's states and logging this data to a centralized monitoring station for real time trouble identification and correlation. Optimize software architecture for faster network convergence and simplifying software complexity. Test software developed via the regression test framework and other tools developed and maintained by Nokia's infrastructure team. #LI-DNI

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Networking, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Skills required: VXLAN and IPSec tunnels; Writing scalable software for complex state machines using C/C++, in Linux environments; Scripting language, including Python; Deployment of network monitoring and debugging tools in live nodes and networks; and Debugging large scale distributed systems.

Skills may be gained through experience or academic coursework. Qualifying education, coursework, and/or experience may have been gained concurrently.
