About Global Marketing

Led by the firm's first Chief Marketing Officer, the marketing function at Goldman Sachs is backed by momentum and a broad imperative to unify the discipline, helping to codify a business-critical function seen as core to the firm's future growth. As such, Goldman Sachs is focused on building out a data-and-technology enabled team of growth marketers, delivering value for the brand and the business. The organization will consist of a number of key COE roles in areas such as Brand, Media, Content, and Marketing Strategy, as well as marketing leads for each of our revenue divisions. Together, this team will collaborate to build a unified, scalable, and consistent approach to marketing the brand and its offerings. Our mission is to be a demonstrable force multiplier for the businesses we serve

Within Global Marketing sits the Content group, which is charged with representing Goldman Sachs to the public. They do this by:



  • Driving the full lifecycle of content for the firm, including strategy and planning, publishing, distribution, analytics, measurement and technology
  • Developing improved governance to ensure content is built for purpose, and can be leveraged across our full array of audiences and channels
  • Incubating new content formats and products while seeking new ways to reach and engage different audiences
  • Collaborating with content creators and editors-in-chief across the firm, uniting our commitment to innovation and experimentation in one of our greatest assets, our thought leadership and insights


Role Summary

As part of the Content team within Goldman Sachs Global Marketing, the Producer, Social and Event Video helps bring the culture, initiatives, and flagship moments of the firm to life through a variety of high-impact formats. Highly versatile and experienced in all stages of production - including videography and editing - the successful candidate is comfortable translating business and marketing objectives into creative executions; developing shoot plans, coordinating crews, and conducting interviews; and striving in post-production to make the final asset the best possible version of itself. The Producer, Social and Event Video works closely with the Corporate Brand and Integrated Marketing team and reports to the Vice President, Head of Video on the Global Marketing Content team.

Responsibilities



  • Work from creative briefs to develop concepts and treatments aligned with marketing and business objectives
  • Shepherd all assigned projects from ideation through production and ultimately distribution
  • Function as both a "preditor" shooting and editing assets independently and a traditional producer overseeing crews and post teams
  • Interface with and interview high-profile contributors
  • Assist with the production and post-production of other projects as needed
  • Communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Provide thoughtful and specific guidance to field crews, editors, and animators
  • Partner with the social media team to ensure content is optimized for each social platform and audience
  • Closely monitor video performance data and apply learnings to future efforts


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of experience working as a content producer in a media production environment
  • Strong sense of latest digital video trends and best practices for content engagement
  • Experience with short-form digital formats is required
  • Proficiency with Sony cameras and the Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom) is required
  • Experience with brand marketing teams and an understanding of messaging, campaign development, paid/owned distribution, and marketing analytics is preferred
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced production environment with quick turnarounds
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple colleagues across the organization and process feedback from multiple stakeholders
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of post-production workflows

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
