The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs. The Department of Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join the Division of Surgical Oncology, under the direct supervision of the Surgical Oncologist. Position Summary The PA is responsible for the health outcomes of an assigned patient population and consults and confers with supervising physicians in an area of clinical expertise within the PA's scope of licensure. As an integral member of the surgical team, the physician assistant is responsible for the pre, intra and post-surgical care of vascular surgery patients, under the direct supervision of the Surgical Oncologist. Duties & Responsibilities Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited PA program. Current license as a Physician Assistant in the State of Illinois required. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required. Current controlled substance licensure required.
