Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs the activities of finance, accounting, purchasing, warehousing, and collections.
  • Supervises Finance & Accounting direct reports; provides guidance to team leaders.
  • Participates in the development of financial policies, objectives, and procedures to safeguard and administer company assets.
  • Provides timely and accurate analysis of budgetary performance.
  • Maintains insurance coverage for all areas of the business and manages the relationship with insurance providers.
  • Collaborates directly with the fellow executive staff members to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure.
  • Participates directly with the CEO and Human Resources to develop progressive compensation and benefit programs.
  • Analyzes cash flow, cost controls and expenses to enhance the management of the Company's cash resources.
  • Establishes and maintains accounting policies, procedures and records in accordance with FCC Part 32, GAAP (General Accepted Accounting Policies), RDUP (Rural Development Utilities Program) and state PSC (Public Service Commission).
  • Coordinates the preparation of the financial statements, financial reports, special analysis and other reports as requested.
  • Develops income and expense budget objectives and the annual operating budget, after receiving input from all departments.
  • Leads development of the company's business plans and programs.
  • Oversees development of procedures for the procurement and provisioning of materials and supplies.
  • Provides financial insights and strategic guidance to the Board of Directors.



Required Knowledge/Skills/Education/Experience:

  • Proficiency in financial management software systems.
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ethical foundation with a commitment to transparency and accountability.
  • Visionary thinker with the ability to anticipate challenges and opportunities.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
  • 5+ years of senior financial leadership experience.
  • Professional certification preferred (ex. CPA or CFA).
