Position Overview
Primary Purpose of Position |
The Research Scientist will work in the Bioengineering Laboratory within the Department of Chemical, Biological, and Bioengineering. The candidate must possess a strong understanding of biosafety level-2 (
BSL-2) laboratory protocols and ensure their effective implementation at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting and mentoring junior researchers in training and laboratory techniques.
- Maintaining an organized inventory of laboratory equipment, supplies, and research materials.
- Conducting advanced molecular biology and analytical chemistry research, including gene cloning, protein expression, site-directed mutagenesis, and mass spectrometry.
- Utilizing computational methods to analyze and interpret experimental data
