Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Software Developer with expertise in augmented reality (AR) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing AR applications using Unity and/or Unreal Engine and experience working with AR/VR devices such as Meta Quest, Varjo, or similar platforms. This role involves collaborating with our hardware and industrial design team to build AR solutions that drive innovation and redefine user experiences.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Design, develop, and optimize augmented reality applications in collaboration with our hardware and industrial design team.

  • Collaborate closely with hardware engineers and industrial designers to integrate AR solutions seamlessly into product development workflows.

  • Implement and optimize real-time 3D graphics and interactive user interfaces.

  • Lead the integration of AR solutions with hardware platforms like Meta Quest, Varjo, or other AR/VR devices.

  • Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness through code reviews and performance profiling.

  • Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in augmented and virtual reality.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues in AR applications.

  • Mentor junior developers, providing guidance and expertise in AR development practices.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new programming methods and technologies

  • Supervise and verify the work of engineers, designers, or technicians

Qualifications:

  • 12 to 15 years of professional experience in a software development team

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development, focusing on AR/VR applications.

  • Experience with AR/VR hardware platforms, such as Meta Quest, Varjo, Microsoft HoloLens, or similar devices

  • Strong programming skills in C# or C++ with a strong understanding of object-oriented design concepts

  • Proficiency in Unity or Unreal Engine

  • Deep understanding of real-time rendering, 3D modeling, and shader programming

  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative team environment and manage competing priorities effectively

  • Gaming industry experience is preferred, but not required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with AR/VR SDKs (e.g., ARKit, ARCore, OpenXR)

  • High degree of comfort with software development tools such as IDEs/compilers, debuggers, profilers, and version control systems

  • Knowledge of spatial mapping, computer vision, and gesture recognition technologies

  • Enjoy working in a creative environment

  • Strong portfolio of AR projects showcasing creativity and technical expertise

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent work experience required
