Shift: Full Time, M-F, 8:30am-5:00pm

*Must be able to commute to Fraser, MI.*

WHAT YOU'LL DO:



  • Participates in, and at times, leads projects involving the design, fabrication, validation, and manufacture of medical devices and other healthcare-related instruments, including subassemblies, systems, or processes.
  • Analyzes, develops, and recommends design approaches required to meet design and production requirements for new, modified, or enhanced instruments.
  • Provide technical support to other Healthmark functional areas, including Business Development, Quality, R&D, and Manufacturing.
  • Compiles and evaluates design and test data, prepares technical specifications, and determines appropriate limits and variables for product/material specifications.
  • In-step with Quality, Design Engineer analyzes product requirements and other technical specifications to determine if product is performing to requirements; this includes performing risk analysis activities.
  • Achieve best practices that meet medical device industry standard, including design control and documentation.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Healthmark QMS.



SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Scientific or Engineering Field, preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Biomedical.
  • Proficiency in technical documentation and oral and written communication skills
  • 2+ years in medical or automotive design and/or systems engineering, experience with risk management/FMEA a benefit.
  • Familiar with regulatory requirements for the medical device industry, particularly working experience in design control.
  • Capable of effectively interfacing with cross-functional team members in achieving common goals.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects at once.
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Hot or cold environment depending on weather/time of year.
  • Ability to travel as needed

  • Use of Computer, CAD program, Scale, CNC Machine, Label Printer, Copier, Crimping Robot, Water Distiller, Water Robot, TOSI Robot, Activator Robot, Hot Plate with Magnetic Stirrer, Ultrasonic Cleaner, Lab Washer, Ovens, Humidifier/Dehumidifier, Precision and Analytical Balances, Spectrophotometer.
