What You'll Do
  • Prepare fabrication lists for highway structures for rebar reinforcement within the requirements of the engineering design and drawings.
  • Occasionally drafting of complex areas to assist in listing of material.
  • Maintain communication with the CMC Highway project manager for delivery schedules, RFI's, change orders and attend planning meetings if needed.
  • Project Managers will communicate with the customer for most situations, however some email/phone communication maybe required.
  • Ensure that your work area is clean, secure, and well maintained
  • Participate in CMC Safety culture and training on a regular basis.
  • Be a part of a great team of individuals and grow your career.
What You'll Need
  • Ability to review and interpret contract documents for TxDot jobs.
  • Experience with CAD/aSa/Tekla platforms is beneficial.
  • Ability to use critical thinking skills to solve unique problems
  • Ability to use MS Excel & MS Outlook
  • High level of attention to detail and focus. Commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your time efficiently
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Must be able to visualize three dimensionally (spatial visualization)
Your Education
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certificate / Training in CAD drafting
