Job Overview: Greeting and escorting guests to tables in the restaurant, supervising staff, maintaining a courteous and efficient operation of the dining room to ensure guest satisfaction.

As a Host Person, you will be instrumental in the restaurant team's success, offering exceptional guest service with a warm and inviting first impression. Responsibilities and Duties:

* Supervise service personnel including counseling and discipline, to maintain service standards.
* Meet and greet guests as they arrive, offer choice of seating, and then escort them to their table and present menu.
* Read, maintain and make daily entries in the logbook to coordinate communication between shifts and management.
* Maintain proper set-up of dining room and enforce uniform and grooming standards of all service personnel on a daily basis.
* Conduct daily "roll call" meetings: to keep staff informed of current promotions, daily special, guest comments, daily events and pertinent memos.
* Receive, record and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant.
* Maintain an open line of communication between guests, management and line employees.
* Carry coffee and/or teapots throughout outlet, refilling guests' cups as requested.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.

Specific Job Knowledge and Skills:

Essential Job Functions:
* Deliver best-in-class service to our guests with engagement and thoughtfulness
* Extend a warm greeting to guests upon arrival and express gratitude for their patronage upon departure
* Continuously replenish beverages and condiments, paying special attention to coffee and tea, while regularly checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction
* Receive, record, and coordinate reservations and special events at the restaurant
* Aid with rolling silverware, replenishing condiments, and restock supplies as needed
* Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and optimal functionality of all restaurant and service workstations

Physical Demands:

* Kneel, stoop, grasp, lift and carry, and transport 50 - 75lbs
* Work most of the shift standing and moving about in the restaurants and kitchen areas
Qualifications:
Education:
* High school diploma or its equivalent

Experience:
* Minimum 1-year Host Person experience in a similar role, size of operation preferred
* Hotel experience preferred
* Food Handlers Certification required
