POSITION SCOPE

The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for sourcing, attracting, interviewing, and hiring employees, all while factoring in the long-term goals of an organization. They also must ensure that current employees are satisfied in their positions and promote the company's brand through recruitment initiatives and events. Essentially, their role is to help grow the talent in a company by finding and nurturing the most suitable people to contribute to a company's future success.

PRIMARY DUTIES



  • Support Fisher Industries and affiliated companies targeting workforce development
  • Build relationships within the industry to identify the right talent and channels to target
  • Develop and maintain relationships with, and regularly seek out and attend job fairs and events and partner with valuable connections such as centers of education such as high schools, universities and trade schools including welding and CDL driving schools
  • Provide a positive and frequent presence throughout Fisher Industries social media platforms
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria as well as to understand hiring demands and desired skill sets to fulfill workforce needs, which may include visiting jobsites
  • Establish relationships and additional outreach in support of Affirmative Action
  • Assists with job posting and advertisement processes
  • Maintains job postings and records in the ATS accurately dispositioning of application.
  • Screens applications and select qualified candidates
  • Assists in scheduling and preparing for interviews including interview questions and other hiring and selection materials as well as participating
  • Attending and conducting interviews with hiring managers
  • Maintains a high level of communication with hiring managers, providing guidance relating to recruiting process including conducting periodic follow-up with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting efforts
  • Perform additional duties as assigned



REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, organization development, business, communications, or related field and a minimum of two to four years of HR, training and development, project management, or equivalent in related work experience
  • Clean driving record and be found insurable to drive a company vehicle
  • Creative candidate sourcing and relationship building skills
  • Proficient computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment with an emphasis on Excel Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Dynamic character to work with various departments and foster teamwork
  • Disciplined to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
  • Employment is in office (not remote) and requires willingness and ability to travel (up to 30%) for career fairs, college visits and Fisher Sand & Gravel location visits
  • Extensive knowledge of job sourcing options in an evolving marketplace
