JOB DESCRIPTION Tool Room Attendant
Job Summary
The Tool Room Attendant performs any combination of the following tasks to receive, store, distribute, and requisition tools, equipment, and products within the facility.
Essential Functions
- Actively support the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values."

- Assist tool room in checking in/out tools, distributing consumables, and logging transactions.
- Establish and maintain small tools and consumable inventory records.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed within record system
- Complete requisition forms to order tools and equipment and maintain inventory records
- Establish and prepare reports on overages, shortages or damaged tools.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
- Perform additional responsibilities, as needed.
- Will be utilizing the ERP system and will interact with vendors by written or verbal communication
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a heavy industrial fabrication shop environment.
- General knowledge and experience with basic hand tools (Drills, Grinders, etc) including tool repair
- General knowledge and experience with welding equipment (leads, torches, plasma, consumables, etc.) including repair
- Inventory/clerical skills.
- Basic computer skills in Word, Excel and databases.
- Ability to work well with and support internal customers, and lead team members.
PHYSICAL/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Lift 50lbs without assistance
- Climbing ladders if necessary
- Finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination and ability to maintain balance.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and stooping;
- Use of hand tools such as hammers, knives or wrenches.
- Visual ability to include color vision and depth perception.
- Work may include pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds, such as raw or fabricated material, equipment or tools.
- Perform all duties while wearing protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety-toed boots, hard hat, and gloves as necessary
- Work involves standing and/or walking for extended periods of time, up to a minimum of 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to perform tasks in hot and cold temperatures. May require working a rotational schedule, including evening or night shifts.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within the DISA drug testing program.
