Graduate Medical Education Specialist oversees and provides day-to-day management of the assigned graduate medical education programs at the institutional level; serves as initial contact; Assist with oversight of the program accreditation. Work closely with director and legal department to monitor, maintain and execute all executive affiliation agreements and program letters of agreement. Monitor and ensure ACGME annual resident, fellow and faculty survey are completed by the annual deadline. Oversight all ACGME institutional documents. Develop and maintain institutional and program handbook, liaison for credentialing as it relates to the state medical board licensure, training permits and DEAs for residents and fellows. Ensure appropriate training and mentoring of program coordinators for effective utilization of the resident management system, MedHub; including support to program coordinators and directors, monitoring and managing data. Track and monitor all GME training programs accurately log procedures to meet all program specialty requirements. Manage and ensure successful completion of all new incoming residents and fellows onboarding and credentialing. Manage and ensure successful completion of all current resident and fellows promotion management with rosters, distribution, and collection of renewing of annual contracts. Ensures compliance with hospital policies; attends meetings within the hospital, locally and nationally. Works on special assignments and projects as directed.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience in program planning and administration required; administrative experience planning and coordinating student education, residency programs or fellowship programs strongly desired; computer literacy required with considerable experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint desired. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
