Description

Barnes Aerospace West Chester MRO division is seeking a Machinist. The ideal candidate will have working experience with CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines and be a quick learner with attention to detail and strong analytical/problem solving skills. Core Responsibilities:



  • Primary duty to set-up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines ensuring parts conform to specification and requirements.
  • Monitor parts dimensions using jigs, fixtures, gages, calipers, micrometers and height gages to assure conformity of parts.
  • Complete paperwork required to document the quality of parts completed.
  • Check paperwork to determine required assembly and any special options.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub-assemblies, per customer order.
  • Use precision measuring tools to check parts for correct fit and dimensions.

Qualifications
Experience
3 years: *Must have 3-5 years of experience in a production/shop position, preferably in aerospace.
*Experience with set-up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines is preferred.
*Able to use basic math to add, subtract, multiply or divide and may work with fractions, decimals or percentages.
*Able to follow simple instructions or directions.
*Able to communicate verbally and in writing as to work requirements, work in progress or work completion. (required)
