Job Description General Summary: Our corporate data science and data engineering team is looking for an individual experienced in the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI), governance and policy. The AI Governance and Policy Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing governance policies and frameworks for the compliant, ethical and responsible use of AI (including generative AI and machine learning solutions) within the company. This role will work to on a highly collaborative, centralized team of data scientists, engineers, and strategists and will work with cross-functional teams to ensure that AI solutions are developed and deployed in a manner that aligns with Vertex values and mission, while adhering to regulatory and legal requirements. As an experienced leader in AI governance and policy, the successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the ethical implications of the use of AI techniques and the ability to apply governance frameworks to real-world scenarios. They will also have experience in leading organizational change management efforts and deploying AI solutions, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage complex projects of large scope.
