Position Summary |
Primary job duties include patient recruitment, communication with study participants, obtaining verbal consent, conducting phone interviews with participants, recording phone interviews, uploading recordings to Landmark for transcription, liaising with
CHAI Core, tracking study participants, tracking questionnaire completion in Qualtrics, providing gift cards to participants, attending weekly meetings with the study team, and other duties related to participant interviews. The position will also assist in manuscript preparation, with opportunities to be included as a co-author. Successful candidates will have a background in clinical research and conducting interviews with research participants (patients and clinicians), familiarity with medical and oncology terminology, and experience working with cancer patients and clinicians.
The position reports to the Project Manager, and meets regularly with the study team including MPIs, Data Scientist, Data Manager, and other Research Assistants. Due to the nature of the work, selected candidates should have experience working independently and the ability to work with a diverse team of researchers. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with patient recruitment and conducting semi-structured interviews. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Basic understanding of scientific methods and conduction of research studies. |
Special Physical/Mental Requirements |
This position requires sitting and using a computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to work and attend meetings remotely. Duties to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. |
