This position is based in Temple, TX, which will require the candidate to report and work from the office on a regular basis. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute commute to Temple, TX.

The Fresh Analyst will manage multiple data systems to research industry and global trends, analyze market landscape, industry competitor activity, as well as internal and external sales related to all current and potential Fresh products. Provide insights for strategic decisions on product development, retail pricing, merchandising, and market analysis to optimize the performance and profitability of the brands within the retail environment.

Essential Job Functions:

• Monitor fresh sales performance across different channels (online, in-store) by analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and pinpointing areas for improvement.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales volume, market share, customer satisfaction, and return on investment for fresh items.
• Monitor competitive fresh offerings across the industry, including product features, retail pricing, and marketing strategies to identify opportunities for differentiation.
• Conduct retail price analysis to ensure products are competitively positioned against national brand items.
• Collaborate with merchandising and CCI to develop optimal product placement and assortment strategies.
• Assist in both supplier and item set-up process.
• Analyze sales trends to identify, plan, and execute seasonal strategies and other changes in demand.
• Review service level, DSII and overstock reporting specific to Fresh for concerns within the buying trends, and daily out of stock reporting.
• Track and monitor business plans for the Fresh team. Share quarterly results with sales team with their performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or related experience in business-related field preferred.
• Data analyst background preferred.
• Exposure to the foodservice or retail industry (3+ years preferred)
• Possess excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
• Have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
