Job Objective:
Assists with the preparation and recording of all aspects of the company's corporate accounting processes.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists in preparation of schedules, journal entries, and analysis for each of the following aspects of corporate accounting team:
    • Amortization schedules for prepaids, tax, and insurance
    • Monitoring accruals
    • Organizing meeting as it relates to ARO, Insurance, tax and regulatory teams
  • Preparation of work papers to support the company's financial statements.
  • Assist with the audits of the annual financial statements.
  • Research and prepare journal entries related to corporate amortization schedules.
  • Assists Corporate Accounting team with monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting, as needed.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed.
  • Monitor and complete AFEs in a timely manner to ensure all Assets created.
  • GL reconciliations and uploads to our new OneStream software.
  • Works closely with corporate support teams in assuring all appropriate expenses are captured in accordance with GAAP.
  • Secures payment from third parties/affiliates and notifies Treasury on expected payment and timing.

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs special projects that require knowledge of pipeline and storage, gas gathering and processing operational accounting.
  • Maintains employee confidence and corporate assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional association.
  • Adheres to the company's values - integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
  • Supports company vision and mission.
  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years minimum of midstream accounting experience.
  • Ability to identify and analyze accounting and financial reporting questions and develop solutions responsive to those questions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex financial information into an organized and presentable manner.
  • Outstanding administrative and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
    • Required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
    • Preferred: Strong working knowledge of SAP

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a concentration in accounting/finance.
