Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Security Specialist for the Tenants contract, supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory's Advanced Concept Division (AFRL/RWC) at Eglin AFB, FL.

JOB DETAILS

LOCATION: Eglin AFB, FL

JOB STATUS: Full Time

TRAVEL: None

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret, with ability to obtain TS/SCI (US Citizenship required)

EDUCATION: Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent work experience

CERTIFICATIONS: None

EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 3-10 years of experience

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Knowledge of a wide range of special security concepts, principles and practices established in legislation, executive orders, regulations, directives and policy decisions.
  • Some knowledge of special security disciplines to ensure that SCI and SAP security programs comply with national security.
  • Working knowledge of DISS, JADE, JWICS and other classified systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, as well as various AF security programs/databases
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, maintaining multiple spreadsheets & tracking information
  • Excellent customer service experience and skills
  • Team player with flexibility to coordinate Security Division Team & Leadership and COMSEC with Information Management team for Secure VTCs, etc.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Prior USAF experience with highly technical programs, working with scientists and engineers
  • Working knowledge of the Air Force Research Laboratory and munitions programs

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform inspection, inventory, logging, storage, documentation, transmittal and internal distribution of classified information.
  • Prepare weekly reports to internal and outside agencies.
  • Responsible for all classified material entering/exiting the facility
  • Prepare/Disseminate/Receive Visit Requests to/from government and contractor facilities and verify access requirements
  • Input/Update information and verify personnel access on JADE System
  • Send/Receive EDTs to the customer for dissemination to appropriate agencies, log classified documents and magnetic media
  • Receive incoming registered and certified mail, open, inspect, account and log information into database
  • Prepare outgoing registered and certified mail, verify markings, proper classifications, properly wrapped, marked and addressed
  • Prepare material for courier on and off installation, ensure courier has proper documentation
  • Ensure classified documents and media are properly destroyed
  • Perform opening and closing of secured facility ensuring all classified material is secured, end of day inspections are conducted and alarms accessed/set
  • Conduct/document alarm tests
  • Escort Un-cleared/non-accessed personnel within facility
  • Assist/conduct semi-annual self-inspections
  • Provide security for conferences and seminar
  • Issue/maintain visitor badges
