Requisition Id14423 Overview: The Environmental, Safety, Health & Quality Directorate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) invites applications for Radiological Engineer positions within the Nuclear and Radiological Protection Division (NRPD). ORNL is the largest U.S. Department of Energy science and energy laboratory, conducting basic and applied research to deliver transformative solutions to compelling problems in energy and security. ORNL operates five non-reactor nuclear facilities and dozens of radiological facilities that perform nuclear research and isotope production activities to support the advancement of nuclear power applications, renewable energy, basic scientific research, and isotope production for medical and industrial applications. ORNL also operates the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS), a one-of-a-kind research facility that provides the most intense pulsed neutron beams in the world for scientific research and industrial development. The NRPD is seeking entry level Radiological Engineers to provide technical leadership and field support to ORNL research and facility operations staff as well as the NRPD Radiological Protection Operations (RPO) team.
