Genesis10 is seeking a Software Engineer II for a Full-Time, direct-hire, position. This role is working with an international training organization, HYBRID, in Milwaukee, WI.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop software solutions that meet defined usability, maintainability, scalability, and reliability requirements
  • Monitor and maintain the health of solutions generated, increasing operating efficiency and adapting to new requirements. Increase operating efficiency and adapt to new requirements
  • Author small and well-defined programming tasks
  • Code, test, and debug programs as outlined by a system's technical and functional requirements
  • Create and maintain automated unit testing and document testing procedures
  • Provide task breakdowns, identify dependencies, and provide effort estimates
  • Identify software issues and communicate problems with the team
  • Assist in the preparation of functional and technical documentation to provide guidance to end users and support trouble-shooting
  • Investigate and resolve application functionality-related issues and provide first-level support and troubleshooting of our CMS, client relationship management (CRM) system, and learning management system (LMS)
  • Analyze data obtained in the corporate database identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and implement solutions
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science or a related field or relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of work experience in a total technology industry
  • 3+ years of experience leading, designing, and implementing large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience working with formal software development methodologies including software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, or SCRUM
  • Experience with all core software development activities, including requirements gathering, design, construction, and testing
  • Experience working with application interface designs, modeling, and implementation
  • Experience working with agile or iterative project management methodologies
  • Experience working with Azure, AWS, or similar cloud platforms and source code management such as Visual Studio Online or Gitlab
  • Knowledge of Web Services protocols such as REST, SOAP, and API design for extensibility and portability
  • Knowledge of DevOps and cloud-based computing, storage, and communication patterns
  • Knowledge of current software engineering trends, best practices, and standards
  • Knowledge of modern frameworks such as Angular, Angular.js, Vue, or React and JavaScript (Node, React, Redux), HTML, and CSS
  • Knowledge of Microsoft tools and technologies including .Net, ASP.Net, C#, and SQL
  • Knowledge of formal SDLC models and methodologies, including Lean, Agile or Scrum
  • Knowledge and understanding of RESTful APIs
  • Software Engineering process certification
  • Yearly personal development demonstrated by completing an accredited software engineering course or acquiring a software engineering-related certification
  • Ability to facilitate evaluation of technologies and achieve consensus on technical standards and solutions among a diverse group of information technology professionals
  • Ability to gain and maintain credibility with business leaders and colleagues
  • Ability to work in an organization driven by continuous improvement or an with equivalent focus on process improvement
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and verbal and written communication skills


Preferred Experience:


  • Experience in a SaaS-delivered enterprise
  • Experience managing cloud-centered technology services
  • Experience in managed services or consulting services
  • Azure cloud certifications


Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000 annual salary per year W2
