Georgia State University

This position manages budgets for several departments within health and wellness. Ensures correct University policies are followed with Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Human Resources, Internal Auditing and Property Control. Serves as the primary liaison to other administrative job units involving financial matters related to the departments. Initiates contract routing forms required for annul contracts with Purchasing and Legal Affairs. Maintains proper accounting records and travel reporting for departments. Oversees revenue collections from units supported.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

* Advises Directors of financial matters via monthly budget meetings.

* Reviews budgets, complies budget reports, and initiates amendments when required.

* Advises Directors on purchasing decisions, financial policies and procedures to ensure proper compliance.

* Make recommendations for long-term financial management in each department.

* Assists with semester and annual reports of each area.

* Processes ONEUSG (Peoplesoft) HR transactions, including electronic hire forms, supervisor changes, reporting changes, funding change, supplemental payments, graduate payments, etc.

* Monitors property control policies and procedures. Manage all property control audits and surplus of departmental assets.

* Manages facilities and maintenance issues as they arise. Orders equipment and supplies as needed.

* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Minimum Hiring Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and four years of administrative experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

* Experience using PantherMart, Spectrum, and OneUSG. Experience processing personnel and payroll actions. * Strong budgeting background.

* Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
