Overview

Position: Senior End User Support Specialist
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Salary Range: $23.85 to $28.85 per hour
Clearance: Active L Clearance

Our customer's organization supports the corporation through development and implementation of sound radiation protection principles for the varied radiological activities performed on-site. Key components of the Radiation Protection organization include an analytical sample diagnostics laboratory, a field instrumentation maintenance/calibration team and a radiation dosimetry group. Each functional group operates and maintains state-of-the-art equipment and testing methods to produce data used for the assessment of radiological conditions for both routine and non-routine site operations and to support of the health and safety of the workforce. The Radiation Protection organization is responsible for the calibration, maintenance, and operation of all in-house radiation detector systems and for maintaining robust quality assurance programs. Analytical data is managed through various software platforms and information management systems that serve as interfaces between the data producers and data users/decision-makers.

Responsibilities:

KeyLogic is seeking a Senior End User Support Specialist to join the team. This candidate will be expected to support the general IT needs of the analytical sample diagnostics laboratory, the field instrumentation maintenance/calibration team and the radiation dosimetry group. Major duties include:

  • Managing a fleet of radiation detection instrument control computers and ensuring continued compliance with corporate IT security requirements.
  • This candidate will be responsible for ensuring computer systems are appropriate for the instrumentation requirements and will re-build or replace systems when necessary.
  • Will troubleshoot supporting IT infrastructure including printers, scanners, label readers and barcode scanners.
  • They will also assist to integrate new equipment and computer systems into our lab and other information management tools.

Qualifications:

  • AA in Computer Science or related field plus 4 years of related experience
  • Must be a US Citizenship
  • Must have an Active DOE L clearance or DOD Secret and be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q security clearance

Required Skills

  • Unclassified Window Administration for Desktops, and Workstation systems experience for at least 2 years
  • System Setup
  • Familiarity of lab networking
  • Familiarity with Firewall technology & management of private LANs/networks
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with other IT professionals
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
  • Experience in Enterprise IT infrastructure. This includes high level MS Windows desk top administration and domain administration knowledge
  • Onsite support

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with quality assurance testing
  • Prior work developing scripts for automating services tasks
