Could you be the full-time onsite Fleet Support Engineer in New Castle, DE, US we're looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your analytical and problem-solving expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates. You'll provide essential technical expertise to both the Operator and Alstom teams, making a significant impact on the efficiency and reliability of our fleet operations. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (such as Maintenance, Operations, and Quality Assurance), analyze data coming from the smart system and from the Operator, and much more.

We'll look to you for:




  • Delivering high-quality technical support and advice to ensure optimal fleet performance,



  • Analyzing and interpreting data from smart systems to drive improvements,



  • Preparing detailed reports on fleet condition and performance metrics




All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That's why we don't expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:




  • 4 year's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Railway Engineering,



  • Your experience in railways environment or systems integration will be considered a great asset,



  • Familiarity with smart system technologies, diagnostic tools, train functions (any kind of rolling stock: LRV metro, regional, mainline)



  • Experience of Train Systems and/or Train Control,



  • Knowledge of Electrical motors (DC & AC)



  • Experience with CAN BUS systems and Ethernet communications



  • Able to provide remote troubleshooting



  • Able to work in a rotative shift environment for 24/7 support



  • Able to take short business trips to other Alstom's sites as required.





Please consider that the job is initially based in New Castle, DE., and eventually may be hosted in Amtrak's CNOC (Consolidated National Operations Center) located in Wilmington, DE.
