Location: Voorhees - 100 Bowman Drive Employment Type: Employee Employment Classification: Regular Time Type: Full time Work Shift: 1st Shift (United States of America) Total Weekly Hours: 40 Additional Locations: Mount Holly, NJ Job Information: Virtua Reconstructive Orthopedics is looking for an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their patient-focused orthopedic practice. The APP will work in the inpatient setting alternating within two to three Virtua Hospitals in Southern New Jersey. APP will work four, 10-hour shifts. Position Responsibilities: Provide inpatient management for patients undergoing orthopedic trauma surgeries, total joint replacements, hand, foot, and ankle surgeries, and spine surgeries. Perform comprehensive oversight and management of medical and surgical cases which includes execution of H&Ps, pre-operative evaluations and preparations, postoperative evaluations, discharge planning, and the coordination of care with surgeons, internists, hospitalists, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team. Complete inpatient and ER consultations in all orthopedics specialties in accordance with the plans set by the orthopedics physicians. Manage calls from ER, hospitalists, internists, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team. Ensure seamless and efficient delivery of patient care through coordination and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team including participation in Hospital Progression Rounds.
