POSITION: Vendor Management Specialist

LOCATION: Tontitown, Arkansas

SUPERVISOR: General Counsel

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Full-time position for a Vendor Management Specialist (VMS) who establishes and maintains vendor relationships by managing, negotiating, and tracking contracts throughout the contract lifecycle.This role will work closely with various departments to draft, review, and finalize contracts, and will be instrumental in minimizing risks and maximizing benefits for the organization.The VMS will manage the organization's vendor risk management program and will assist legal counsel with other projects as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, computer science, or related field.


Prior Work Experience:



  • Three to five years related experience in law, procurement, contract/vendor management, project management, or information technology.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job


Certifications:



  • A relevant advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Contract Management) is preferred but not required.


Knowledge and Skills:



  • Expert knowledge of Information Technology products and service agreements
  • Expert knowledge of contract law and regulations related to cybersecurity and vendor management
  • Expert knowledge and technical competence with contract management software and/or applicable automated system
  • Working knowledge of technology security standards and best practices
  • General knowledge of applicable laws to assist the legal department
  • Skill in managing large complex contracts, with preference for IT categories, including hardware, software, service, and communication
  • Skill in negotiating complex agreements to achieve the best outcome for the organization
  • Skill in planning and coordinating large/complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Skill in application programming interfaces
  • Skill in communicating technical information to a non-technical audience
