Turning Point Centers Is Seeking a Full-time Chef at our Residential Treatment Center in Sandy.

The Chef is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Staying within approved budget.
• Turning in all receipts.
• Following the menu created by the licensed nutritionist.
• Maintaining a strong working relationship with US Foods.
• Checking the packing slip of every US Foods order upon delivery.
• If food is delivered and expired Chef must contact vendor for a credit to account and then turn in the proper paperwork to their direct manager showing credit.
• Keeping kitchen area and storage area clean.
• Maintaining work area properly based on Salt Lake Valley Health Department.

Minimum Job Requirements

Education/Experience:

HS Diploma or equivalent + 2 or more years working in a professional kitchen as a line cook or above

-OR-

Culinary Degree and less than 2 years experience.

Skills:

• Must possess professional culinary skills
• Knowledge of current health and safety laws and best practices for nutrition
• Knowledge of and experience in preparation of special dietary foods
• Ability to work within a budget
• Oversee the inventory and purchasing of food, equipment, and supplies, order food and kitchen supplies consistent with menus and enrollment counts
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety and arrange for the routine maintenance, sanitation, and upkeep of the treatment center kitchen, its equipment, and facilities

Licenses:

• ServSafe Certification
• Current and valid driver's license with a good driving record. Cannot have DUI conviction in last 3 years
• Must pass background screening through Utah Dept of Human Services
