Quality Coordinator

Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Coordinator to join our team. You will ensure that quality standards at the project site are met. This role involves providing technical support, working independently and collaborating closely with operations staff. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality systems, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with project specifications. This role does require the flexibility for travel up to 100% of the time throughout the U.S.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain quality systems and procedures as per project specifications
  • Develop and improve quality inspection methods
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure they comply with contract documents, design specifications, and applicable codes
  • Ensure accurate completion of Quality Records and initiate non-conformance processes when necessary
  • Perform documentation of quality assurance activities, including inspections, test plans, and reporting. Monitor and control related costs
  • Participate in the development of Ledcor's quality program and advise on project quality plans
  • Engage in the change management process to improve products, services, and support
  • Serve as a point of contact for quality-related inquiries and provide guidance and training to project teams
  • Coordinate all QA/QC activities with site managers and procurement teams
  • Identify, document, and communicate quality issues or deviations, and coordinate the resolution of non-conformances, tracking corrective actions

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years quality assurance/control, preferably in the Construction industry
  • Familiarity with construction codes, standards, and inspection techniques
  • ISO 9001 certification would be preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction materials, methods and practices
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
