Job Description

Job Summary

Our company is currently seeking a skilled Pump Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for estimating and repairing pumps and controls. The Pump Technician will work on a variety of pump systems, including electric submersible pumps and pneumatic air driven pumps.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • As a Pump Technician, you will be responsible for estimating, repairing, and testing all types of pumps.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to ensure that pump systems are installed correctly.
  • Conduct pre-functional testing and commissioning of pump systems to ensure that they are operating correctly.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with pump systems.
  • Conduct flow tests on pumps to ensure proper operation.
  • Document and report on the results of testing and commissioning to the Customer.
  • Document all work performed and maintain accurate records. (Writing/ Photographs)
  • Communicate with customers and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Trade or Vocational School Graduate preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift equipment not exceeding 50 LBS.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older
  • Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of basic mechanical, electrical, welding, and burning skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to provide quotations.
  • Ability to use electrical testing equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel within the mid-Atlantic states.
