Job Overview:

Join us in an exciting opportunity as a Quality Engineer at our Precision and Science Technologies manufacturing
plant in Alsip, IL. This position will be a member of the Quality Department providing technical support and ensuring compliance to ISO-9001 International Quality Standards for the manufacturing
operations. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining all procedures required for ISO 9001as well as preparations for associated quality audits. Additionally, it involves partnering with the Procurement team to ensure outside domestic and international suppliers provide raw materials and manufactured components that comply with all engineering and purchasing specifications.

Responsibilities:


  • Partner with Quality Technicians and plant level Warranty Administration.

  • Responsible for driving improvement of First Pass-Yield data, supplier score cards, warranty trends, and other key quality metrics. Partners with Operations
    , Purchasing, Engineering, and Customer Service Teams to initiate corrective actions for key quality metrics as required.


  • Responsible for key processes like 4D/8D, SCAR, CAPA, etc. to support Customer Satisfaction and improve Supplier performance.

  • Understands customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.

  • Works with outside vendors to develop or improve manufacturing
    processes for purchased components.


  • Actively participates in Kaizen Events and other Lean activities to improve quality and drive out waste / cost from the manufacturing
    processes.


  • Ensures quality compliance for vendor changes, PPAP submissions, and First Article Inspections.

  • Responsible for maintaining gage and equipment calibration and all appropriate records and documentation and certifications.

  • Assists Manufacturing
    Engineering with troubleshooting and resolving quality related production problems.


  • Collaborates closely with Customer Service and Operations
    team to resolve customer/ production issues regarding legacy and new products.


  • Participates in plant compliance to ISO-9001 and/or ISO-14000 Quality System standard. Coordinates ISO visits with necessary staff and manages any corrective actions that occur as a result of external audits.

  • Uses advanced Quality Assurance techniques (FMEA, CMM Inspection, GD&T, Gage R&R Studies, Process Capability Studies, Six Sigma, statistical quality/process control methods, etc.) to proactively manage product quality.




Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in related field (Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering or Engineering Management preferred). Must have good mechanical aptitude of general machinery.

  • 8+ years of quality assurance experience preferably in a machining/assembly facility with 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance programs.

  • Experience in supporting audits

  • Previous Manufacturing
    / Quality Engineering experience in a machining manufacturing
    environment utilizing Lean / Six Sigma techniques.


  • In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant standards.

  • Previous experience in SAP or other ERP type systems is preferred.

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication, project management and organizational skills. Must be capable to work in a fast paced, creative, results-oriented atmosphere.

  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Suite, as well as relevant CMM software and SPC software)

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Pay Range

The pay range for this role is $65,000 - $100,000. The pay range considers a wide range of factors that include a candidate's skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location.

Job Overview:




We are currently seeking an organized and collaborative individual to join our team. This role will be responsible for supporting quotes and order management of configured and engineered product orders for our mission-critical pump technologies in a manufacturing
facility. An Application Engineer works with a team to ensure the efficient and accurate pre-sale and post-sale support activities for industrial products serving the water treatment, oil/gas, and/or petrochemical industries while adhering to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, communicative, adaptable and can meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.




Responsibilities:




Application Engineering



  • Respond to customer inquiries for pump technology product selection, pricing and application support for standard, configured and engineered- to-order products

  • Prepare and submit quotations and technical bid documents utilizing a variety of product selection tools, internal ERP system and technical resources

  • Review RFQ's, specifications and provide application engineering expertise in special applications (i.e. conceptual design of special configurations, evaluation of existing designs, basic modification of existing designs, etc.)

  • Provide technical and commercial support to Regional Sales Managers, channel partners, and end users

  • Provide

    project management


    for orders requiring special designs, documentation, testing and inspection from order receipt through customer acceptance




Customer Support



  • Coordinate with internal departments and outside suppliers for quoting and

    project management


    purposes

  • Represent the company in customer meetings and coordinate commercial and technical negotiations as needed

  • Assist with aftermarket application support, spare parts selection and troubleshooting




Training and Development



  • Participate in training programs to improve engineering skills and product knowledge
