Objective

A supervisory position requires a detail-oriented individual who will oversee the daily production and processing of the Banks third party loan accounting systems including SBA, Asset Based Lending and Construction Lending. Provide oversight of the review of various exception reports, presenting identified open items to the appropriate department manager for resolution. Coordinate various system testing and data value changes between Loan Operations department managers and IT. Escalate all issues and outstanding items not addressed within prescribed policy to the Loan Operations Manager.

Responsibilities/Duties

    Manage ancillary loan systems as well as maintain an in-depth knowledge of each, their interfaces and system transactions, which impacts settlements and reporting. Ensure all workflows are accurate and in compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage team members, provide support for questions and adequate training for all systems as well as coordination with loan activities with other affiliated departments.
  • Manage all reporting as well as respond to all cases and inquiries for residential mortgage servicer (Cenlar) escalating any issues to VP - Loan Operations Manager.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communications with VP Loan Operations, team members and cross functional business partners on performance improvement opportunities and suggestions.
  • Active role in accessing system functionality, performing upgrades and testing. Identify system limitations and work with management to formulate a resolution and implement plan.
  • Perform and document release and regression testing on bank's third-party Loan accounting systems. Identify any failed tests and work with IT and vendor to correct until successful prior to approving upgrading of existing systems.
  • Coordinate in developing and conducting internal audit/quality control reviews. Review areas include general ledger and system reconcilements, loan data integrity, and adherence to audit controls, collateral processing and exception follow up.

  • Perform reconciliation for monthly Student Lending reporting, which includes PHEAA billing, Consolidated Rebate, LARS Fees, Delinquency reporting and settlements as well as monthly Cenlar billing, Tammac and Calico settlement activities. Provide the Development Team with 3rd party loan information for Bank reporting.
  • Reconcile SBO activity and adjust accounts as necessary. Review SBO rate changes and update system information as necessary. Prepare and distribute SBO delinquency report monthly.
  • Assist with the completion or review of general ledger accounts, system reconcilements and the timely clearing of outstanding items and necessary department reporting, when necessary.
  • Assists in the development of new business for Firstrust. Is alert to expressed customers/prospect needs to suggest appropriate services. Directs customers to appropriate person to establish business relationships.
  • Other duties as assigned by Vice President Loan Operations.


Essential Functions

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee may be required to ascend/descend stairs and work atop a small ladder to store and retrieve files. The employee will need to position self to lift up to 20 pounds of materials for file maintenance. The worker sits most of the time; however, some amount of mobility is necessary to accomplish tasks. The ability to communicate and exchange information verbally and written is required. The incumbent will operate a computer terminal and phone with repetitive motion, while analyzing or preparing data. Temperature changes may occur during the workday in the office setting.



Knowledge - Skills & Abilities

  • College degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
  • 3-5 year experience in a Commercial, ABL, or Construction loan operations position
  • Managerial experience is required.
  • Possesses extensive loan structure, servicing and regulatory knowledge of Commercial and Consumer loans.
  • Demonstrates friendly, positive attitude, self-motivator.
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Intermediate to advance knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to multi-task with an excellent degree of versatility and flexibility
