Description Columbia University's Department of Medicine and the Columbia Center for Translational Immunology invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position as Professor of Medical Sciences (in Medicine), as part of a joint collaboration between the CCTI and the Burch-Lodge Center for Human Longevity. The successful candidate will be expected to lead an independent research program related to the immune system and aging, particularly but not exclusively in the areas of Immunometabolism and Inflammation, and T-cell based senolytic therapies. Further, they will participate in the growth of the CHL, ensuring a cohesive and growing program which aligns with the objectives and mission of the Center, with strong collaborative ties in the CCTI. Candidates should have strong research training and, commensurate with rank, leadership experience in biomedical research and a record of scholarly achievement. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: M.D., Ph.D., or both in Biomedical Sciences. Candidate must have a background in research in Immunology and Aging. Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate is expected to have a successful record of extramurally funded research, or to demonstrate potential to obtain extramural research funding. Candidates should possess excellent teamwork, leadership and interpersonal skills. |
