Agronomy Technology Intern

SALARY RANGE: $15-$17

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Learning all aspects of the precision agronomy department, including both sales and operational responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Supports the Sales team in comprehending and effectively presenting the benefits of different technology platforms.

Works with precision farming/ sales team and becomes familiar with department programs and procedures.

Assists in collecting planting and application data from growers.

Assists in the application of field trials using a spray drone.

Monitors field trials throughout the growing season.

Learn through hands on experience with multiple drone types and new agricultural technology.

Gain understating of the agricultural retail industry.

Provides customer service by scheduling product deliveries and application, soil testing, crop scouting and other programs.

Attend meetings and training sessions requested by company.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Pursuing a degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agricultural Business, Agriculture Technology, or related fields.

Strong analytical and technical skills, combined with a passion for the agricultural industry.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and the ability to travel independently as needed.

Occasionally exposed or required to work in extreme weather conditions. (hot, cold, wet, etc.)

Must be able to walk crop fields and conduct visual inspections of crops.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
