Role Summary:

HR Business Partners (HRBPs) are the primary link between managers in business units and the corporate People function. Under the direction of the Director of People Operations, HRBPs develop and cultivate relationships with leaders of the business units to which they are assigned. They work with the leaders to help them align their business objectives, customer expectations, and resource allocations with the needs of the people on their teams in compliance with all Company policies, relevant laws, and applicable regulations.

Depending upon business needs and individual HRBP capacity, they may engage in a variety of interactions with managers and employees. They provide tactical support to management by communicating Company policy, facilitating administrative processes, assisting employees with interpersonal relations issues, and helping managers utilize available programs. They participate in business unit staff meetings, listen for feedback about people programs, and take advantage of opportunities to advocate better leadership practices.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities are segregated here by level in the representation of the increase of responsibility in each of the three career stages. It does not mean that an employee at one level will never be required to perform duties of a higher level nor that performance of higher-level duties necessitates an automatic promotion to the higher level. Level assignment is at the discretion of the department manager.
