As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will form, fabricate, and deburr sheet metal components according to blueprints and routing sequences. Operating various fabricating machines and equipment, you will maintain tolerances and uphold safety and quality standards. Reporting to the manufacturing supervisor, this is a 2nd shift role, with hours from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

You Will:

  • Operate brake presses to bend, cut, and form materials into specified shapes.

  • Study blueprints or plans, performing careful measurements of materials.

  • Handle equipment setup for complex fabricating tasks.

  • Use computer programs and scanning operations relevant to your department/cell.

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and maintain proficiency with measuring tools.

  • Package and label products according to established procedures.

  • Meet productivity expectations while working from Bill of Materials/Print Shop Paper.

  • Complete industrial lift certification if needed and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Assist in resolving production issues, engage with department metrics, and manage scrap-out procedures effectively.

You Have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 1+ year of experience in sheet metal fabrication.

  • Fundamental knowledge of fabricating machine operations and shop practices (on-the-job training is acceptable).

  • Basic shop math skills, blueprint reading abilities, and familiarity with a variety of measuring equipment.

  • Drug Screen: Testing for controlled substances to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

  • Physical Examination: Verification of physical fitness to perform job responsibilities safely and effectively.

Completion of these requirements is necessary for finalizing employment offers and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
