Communications Strategist
APPLY About the Division of University Relations The Division of University Relations represents an integrated approach to Communications (Brand Communications, News, Media Relations, and Strategic Communications) and Government Relations (Community, State, and Federal). More than 50 University Relations communicators collaborate with and provide support to the colleges, schools, and administrative units within the university. The Strategic Communications team works with partners across the institution to align our university-level priorities and identity with those of the colleges, schools, and units so that together we can advance Cornell's mission of education, research, and public engagement. The Opportunity The Communications Strategist (CS) will leverage division and university resources to raise the visibility of Cornell University around the world. The CS works with the Senior Director of Strategic Communications, other University Relations (UR) communications and government relations teams, and university stakeholders to develop and execute communications plans and strategies to promote Cornell's accomplishments and initiatives to internal and external audiences through existing and emerging communications channels. This is a full-time position located in Ithaca, NY, an active and diverse community in which to work and thrive. This is an on-campus position, and the selected candidate will be expected to reside in or relocate to the area; there is no relocation assistance provided. Remote work out of the state or the region is not an option for this role. Compensation: The position will be offered at between $74,000 - $78,000/annual and will be based on the final candidate's skills and experience. What You Need
