Why this job matters: BCBSRI is working to improve the processes related to requesting and granting access to enterprise datastores. The intern will assist the enterprise information management team to identify errors and inconsistencies in the current database access documentation, allowed permissions, and grants of these permissions to users and database objects. They will collaborate with Data Warehouse Analysts and Database Administrators to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation. The intern will also work with these teams to implement any gaps or discrepancies found. What you will do: Review and update database access, permissions, and grants documentation Identify and update discrepancies and errors in existing documentation Collaborate with team members to resolve identified gaps Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date What you need to succeed: Understanding of relational database system concepts Understanding of information security principals, primarily role-based access control (RBAC) Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities Excellent organization skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Attention to detail and accuracy Location: BCBSRI is headquartered in downtown Providence, conveniently located near the train station and bus terminal.
