Phillips-Medisize, a Molex Company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Technician to support our Manufacturing Operations in Costa Mesa, CA. To ensure success in this role, you should be able to use design principles to create technical drawings that bring the engineer's ideas to life. Knowledge of Solidworks, and the ability to conceptualize design with meticulous attention to detail will be needed to perform in this role. What You Will Do * Serve as a liaison between project engineering, manufacturing, and customers to ensure seamless implementation of programs, including molding and secondary operations * Provide technical support and solutions to manufacturing processes, aiming to achieve optimal yield, throughput, cost reduction, and quality * Master IQMS tools and deliverables related to change assessments, work instructions, and inventory management * Facilitate effective communication between customers, sales, engineering functions, outside vendors, manufacturing, and multi-divisional teams. * Collaborate with the accounting team, sales, and customers to maintain cost control and profitability * Develop and implement technical solutions to meet customer and company expectations for cost, quality, and delivery * Troubleshoot and propose innovative solutions to process and design challenges * Oversee the installation and setup of equipment and ancillary support hardware * Contribute to the upfront design considerations of equipment and processes * Manage multiple projects and monitor their timelines to ensure timely completion * Assist in creating, updating, and training on work instructions (WI), standard operating procedures (SOP), and other necessary documents for engineering tasks Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * At least 3 or more years of experience in drafting, with proficiency in creating detailed drawings * Familiarity with testing equipment, including pull testers, ohm meters, and other related tools * Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship What Will Put You Ahead * Setting up equipment for manufacturing (ultrasonic welding, heatstake, crimping, soldering) * Experience with contract manufacturing in the medical device industry * Associates degree or higher in mechanical or manufacturing technology This role is not eligible for VISA Sponsorship. For this role, we anticipate paying $26.00 - $33.00 per hour. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form. At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
