MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - 1ST SHIFT JOB LOCATION MCCALLA, AL - TUSCALOOSA PLANT

As a member of the McCalla team, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing work according to established procedures and policies through teamwork. The Maintenance Technician is a part of the Engineering Department and reports to the Maintenance Manager. The team member will be responsible for ensuring safety standards are followed at all times.

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

• Assure quality standards are followed at all times.
• Adhere to the standard work instructions (SWI).
• Contribute fully to continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Qualifications:

• High School Diplomaor Equivalent
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Bonus If You Have:

• Bilingual
• 2 years plus Maintenance experience

Physical Requirements:

• The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and talk to hear.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
