Responsibilities

We are a company with a storied history of pushing the high technology envelope and innovation for many decades, since our equipment needs to be more advanced than the latest technologies being developed.

This is an onsite internship for the summer of 2025 and will be based in either Colorado Springs, CO or Santa Rosa, CA. Based on team location, Colorado is preferred location.

As an Application Engineering Intern in the Aerospace Defense Government Solutions Group (ADGS), you will work in a cross-organizational environment to develop training content (such as how to make various measurements, example automation programs, etc.) for a new set of PXIe solutions for Aerospace Defense and Government field sales community and customers. The instruments (M5000 Series) include a digitizer, downconverter, RF and baseband AWG (arbitrary waveform generator) and digital I/O which are critical building blocks for quantum computing and aerospace defense applications.

Chosen candidate will be responsible for

  • Working with cross functional teams to solve customer problems and working on solutions
  • Interacting with Customers to understand needs, identify issues and present solutions
  • Developing content that highlights key capabilities of the M5000 Series, M9046A High Performance Chassis, System Sync Modules, PathWave Test Sync Executive, PathWave FPGA

Keysight is looking for a rising college junior or senior studying Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science. Candidates will graduate in Spring 2026-2027.

In addition, this position requires the following skillsets and attributes

  • Matriculated in a program for BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science; must have successfully completed all coursework of sophomore year
  • Looking for Candidate who are targeted to graduate in Spring 2026- Fall 2027.
  • Qualified Candidate must have completed all coursework of their sophomore year in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in your core engineering courses
  • Experience using Keysight's general purpose instruments such as, signal analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, power meters, etc.
  • Chosen candidate must demonstrate the ability to work closely in teams and understand the dynamics of a collaborative team environment
  • We search for candidates that have demonstrated leadership skills and can be dynamic and persuasive in a professional setting
  • Demonstrated electrical engineering skills through coursework, work experience, or prior internship(s)
  • Experience or coursework in FPGA development is desirable
  • Knowledge of software development environments such as C++/C#, Python, etc.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Effective presentation and problem-solving skills. This internship culminates with a presentation of results delivered in person for all local ADGS interested personnel
  • Experience and/or interest in RF solutions for the Aerospace Defense industry is a plus
