job purpose:

The Operational Excellence Senior Manager will be responsible for leading and improving the overall efficiency and effectives of the Logistics function. This includes identification and implementation of enhancements across people, process and technology. The scope will be broad, and will include on-site warehouse processes at the plant, warehouse processes at 3PL partners, and transportation. The goal of this role will be standardization and cost improvement. We seek to drive alignment and consistency in the way our product is handled and processed, regardless of where in the fairlife network the activity is occurring. The Ops Excellence Sr Mgr will influence at every level, casting a vision of best in class logistics systems and processes, including the road map to achieve that vision. The Ops Excellence Sr Mgr will develop, build, deploy and coach on a comprehensive Operational Excellence framework, ensuring there is a high level of engagement, ownership and clarity across our network; All focused on aligning goals, developing capabilities, standardizing the way we work, and solving complex problems.

responsibilities:



  • Leads identification and implementation of the Logistics Process Excellence and Continuous-Improvement programs across the entire fairlife network.
  • Clearly defines program objectives and scope.
  • Leads all routines associated with Operational Excellence, across people, process and technology
  • Ensures accurate monitoring and reporting of key performance indicators for all sites
  • Resolves technical and system problems that occur with internal fairlife ERP systems, our Transportation Management System (TMS) and third party Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Leads the standardization and implementation of warehousing and transportation best practices across the network
  • Create analytics, dashboards and reporting that is consistent across sites and leverage the PowerBi reporting suite to implement leading data analytics capabilities
  • Evaluate datasets from third parties (Coca-Cola, 3PL WMS, TMS) and implement improvements to ensure consistency in data accuracy and alignment across systems
  • Improve our ability to reconcile inventory across various supply chain nodes, with supporting analytics
  • Create a bridge between Logistics and other critical functions (Planning, Finance, Procurement, IT) to identify and drive larger opportunities cross-functionally
  • Leads Root Cause Analysis, facilitates problem solving initiatives, coaches and trains on Logistics RCA processes
  • Regularly monitors the implementation of solutions to achieve objectives and expected benefits.
  • Establishes a clear and well-articulated implementation roadmap for all initiatives
  • Secures the team's commitment for proactive change management.
  • Evaluates and prioritizes potential improvements based on gains and required effort.
  • Realistically defines specific project charters, and coaches project leads and teams through key initiatives
  • Verifies the sustainability of Ops Excellence initiatives and the health of management systems
  • Secures commitment from managers and Senior Stakeholders and mobilizes other involved parties
  • Identifies and utilizes available resources: people, material, finances, etc. to achieve business objectives
  • Specifies obstacles and ways to overcome them from the perspective of continuous improvement
  • Provides appropriate support to department managers in maintaining implementation of the continuous-improvement initiatives within their respective sectors


skills/qualifications required:



  • Bachelor's Degree required in supply chain, logistics, business management, or related field
  • 10 years of proven project management and process improvement skills including;


    • Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, certifications a plus
    • Understanding of strategic road mapping
    • Proven results in root cause analysis
    • Experience establishing and maintaining Process Excellence programs
    • Understanding of CI tools such as DMAIC, SMED, CIL, 5S


  • Experience in process and technology improvement implementation in regulated industry preferred
  • Experience working with and improving Logistics technology, including (but not limited to) TMS, WMS, Transportation Visibility and PowerBI reporting suite
  • Firm understanding of other Supply Chain functions (e.g., planning) in order to identify and work on opportunities across functional areas when necessary
  • Deep analytical and data science skills, with the ability to translate data and analysis into decision making and improvement opportunities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to create strong working relationships and lead the work of others
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced in data analysis with PowerBI, Tableau, or equivalent
  • Experience training others in the use of Lean and/or Six Sigma tools, and experience with lean approaches to improvement
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment

  • Exposure to hazards is minimal


food safety requirements:



  • Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required that may affect product quality or food safety.
  • Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.
  • Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.
  • Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
  • Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
  • In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required.
