Job Title: Scheduler B

Location: Pascagoula, MS

Position Overview

Under the direction of the Scheduling Manager, the Scheduler B develops and maintains resource-loaded project schedules for new build and repair projects within the facility or company.

Typical Duties

The following responsibilities outline the general nature and level of work but are not exhaustive:

* Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with the project team.

* Assign resources and budgets to schedules with input from Engineering, Production, and Planners.

* Monitor yard capacity and manpower requirements.

* Receive, assess, and input engineering and production progress into project schedules; analyze schedule changes after updates.

* Consult with the project team to ensure appropriate inventory is available for production needs.

* Assist with reviewing resource-loaded schedules and communicate labor requirements to HR and Production Management.

* Create and distribute weekly schedule status reports, including outputs from scheduling software, Excel reports, etc.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

* Strong knowledge of scheduling principles and best practices, in line with industry and government standards.

* Proficiency in entering, maintaining, and generating accurate data and reports.

* Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints.

* Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships.

* Familiarity with or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of Build Strategies, Master Schedules, Product Work Breakdown Structures, Budgeting, Resource Loading, and Detailed Scheduling.

Experience & Training

* Preferred Education: College degree in a related technical field.

* Minimum Education: High school education or equivalent, supplemented by coursework or technical training in production management.

* Software Skills: Experience with commercial shipbuilding software, specifically Primavera, is required.
