Core Responsibilities

Follow procedure to achieve optimum casing preparation.

• Record necessary information to achieve desired results.
• Monitor casing usage for proper FIFO.
• Properly label casing (size, date, company, quantity, lot number)
• Organize casings by size and prep for production line when needed.
• Support production line in other various aspects.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Read, write and communicate clearly.
• Basic quality testing on casing.
• Follow our color code system in regard to food safety.
• Other duties as directed by Supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Food safety and quality are the responsibility of every individual working at Kansas City Sausage Company. You are expected to:

• Follow USDA/SQF and GMP guidelines.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 1500
• Be able to safely operate a manual pallet jack
• Stay focused on quality while maintaining speed
• Be able to work in a 38F environment
• Ability to stand 8+ hours per day
