Section 508 Tester

Key Role:

Serve as an advocate for accessibility and a resource for colleagues who need to develop accessible products. Provide outreach and training for project managers, web designers, developers, and content providers. Apply advanced consulting skills or extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction. Mentor and may supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with 508 Testing

• Experience with WCAG 2.0 A/AA standards and 508 testing of Information Communications Technology (ICT)

• Experience with 508 vendors on an existing platform, assistive technology tickets, troubleshooting, and coding

• Experience working with teams for the approval of product acceptance, including Product Security, Performance Testing, Vulnerability Testing, reliability, and fault tolerance testing

• Knowledge of scrum and product planning

• Knowledge of all phases and types of testing, including strategies, requirements, planning, management, execution, and reporting

• Ability to perform initial defect triage and root cause analysis

• Ability to identify and communicate risks and opportunities for improvement across all products and test frameworks

• Public Trust

• Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with ZoomText, NVDA, Dragon naturally speaking, JAWS, VoiceOver, Talkback

• Experience with 508 remediation of web, software, mobile and electronic documents technology

• Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools

• Experience leading and coordinating tasks

• Ability to interact with third-party vendors

• Master's degree
