UX/UI Strategist, Lead

The Opportunity:

As a UI/UX Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and user experience efforts across our client's information environment. We are seeking a talented and experienced UX/UI Strategist, focused on leading the design and development of engaging and intuitive user experiences that make an impact. You will display a passion for understanding the needs and motivations of end-users and delivering experiences that drive business outcomes. In this role, you will work closely with Product leads, Strategic Integrators, Delivery Managers and End users to deliver scalable interface design patterns to support the creation of a new user experience in a mission-critical Department of Defense environment, to include on unclassified, classified, and multinational networks. You will lead the full spectrum of the digital creative process, including user research, information architecture, wireframing, rapid prototyping, and interface design.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in UI/UX design, and creating intuitive, accessible user experiences for the SaaS, COTS, and Web software applications
  • Experience with designing short- and long-term UX vision and strategy for products and applications supported
  • Experience with design tools, such as Sketch, Figma, Lucid or Adobe XD, and visual design
  • Experience with modern web standards and front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Experience with collecting and analyzing user behaviors and needs through qualitative and quantitative user research, including interviews, field studies, surveys, A/B testing, digital experience monitoring, and usability testing
  • Experience with applying user-centered design processes that incorporate data, including real user monitoring (RUM) technologies, user insights, and continuous feedback
  • Experience with developing, communicating, and measuring UX design and process improvement ideas through prototypes, wireframes, user flows, and design deliverables
  • Ability to communicate design concepts across different audiences and varying levels within an organization to gain buy-in and the implementation of valuable outcomes
  • Secret clearance
  • Master's degree in Design or Computer Science

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence planning and coordination tools
  • Experience with the Spanish language
  • Knowledge of Agile project management
  • UX/UI Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
