About the role:

The Logistics Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of logistics operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that goods are delivered on time, at the right cost, and in excellent condition, while also prioritizing a customer-centric approach throughout the logistics process. By developing robust relationships with transportation providers and ensuring compliance with both domestic and international shipping regulations, the Logistics Manager plays a key role in optimizing our logistics network and cost structures.

This role requires a candidate with high attention to detail, exemplary problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain composure in a rapidly evolving environment. A thorough understanding of parcel, Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), and freight payment is essential. Candidates must have demonstrated the ability to thrive in a highly driven environment while managing multiple tasks and priorities, as well as the ability to analyze data to make informed strategic decisions. Candidates must be able to quickly master new skills, procedures, and systems, with an overall desire to contribute to company growth.

This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US except the San Francisco Bay Area and NYC Metro Area.

In this role, you will:



  • Plan, manage, and coordinate transportation with a focus on Parcel and LTL for outbound freight, to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers and third-party logistics providers.
  • Oversee the freight payment and audit processes, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with contractual obligations, and timely payment to carriers.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international laws affecting the transportation of goods, including customs regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline processes, increase operational efficiency, and manage freight costs effectively.
  • Regularly analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions that enhance customer experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to synchronize operations, support, and logistics strategies with overarching business objectives.
  • Partner with the support team to establish standards and best practices, ensuring responsive, high-quality support is consistently delivered across all customer interactions.
  • Implement systems and processes that support seamless customer interactions, enabling quick issue resolution and consistent experiences across touchpoints.
  • Stay informed of advancements in logistics technology and innovations that can improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Expertise in handling parcel and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipping modes, optimizing routes and reducing costs.
  • Develop contingency plans to handle supply chain disruptions.
  • Foster a culture focused on customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, positioning the organization for growth.
  • Demonstrated customer-centric approach with the ability to prioritize customer satisfaction and tailor logistics strategies to meet client needs effectively.

Minimum requirements for this role:



  • Proven experience in logistics operations, specializing in parcel, LTL, and freight pay.
  • 5+ years of experience in a logistics management role, preferably in a supply chain related environment
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end supply chain and logistics processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Zendesk, Salesforce, Netsuite, E2Open or similar application experience is a big plus
  • Intermediate skills in GSuite or MS Office


Samsara's Compensation Philosophy: Samsara's compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles. For eligible roles, a new hire RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually.

We pay for performance, and top performers in eligible roles may receive above-market equity refresh awards which allow employees to achieve higher market positioning.

The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
