Public Relations Coordinator

(Working Title: Public Relations Coordinator for Social Media and Email Communication)

Georgia State University (GSU) is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to fill the role of Public Relations Coordinator for Social Media and Email Communication. This position will be pivotal in enhancing our recruitment, enrollment, and ongoing engagement efforts through strategic social media and email campaigns. The coordinator will collaborate with various GSU units, including Financial Aid, International Student Scholar Services, Student Engagement, Study Abroad, Housing and New Student Orientation, and Public Relations and Marketing Communications, to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to student social media and for new and continuing students and email communication for our continuing student population.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

Examples of Duties include:

* The Public Relations Coordinator will work with the Director of Enrollment Management and Communications to develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to support undergraduate admissions, ongoing student engagement, and email communication for continuing students

* The coordinator will oversee targeted email campaigns aimed at enhancing the student experience by providing updates on academic resources, campus events, important deadlines, registration, financial aid and support services

* The coordinator will be responsible for developing, monitoring and analyzing the effectiveness of all social media and email campaigns, using data-driven insights to continuously optimize strategies and achieve the university's recruitment and retention goals

* The coordinator will work with the Associate Director for Salesforce to provide training and support to staff and departments on effective social media and email communication practices

Qualifications :

Minimum Hiring Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience; or high school diploma or GED and eight years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

* Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, both oral and written

* Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills

* Ability to effectively work with diverse constituencies in a large, fast-paced professional work environment
