What you'll do

Are you a customer service minded individual who feels a sense of accomplishment when you can solve a problem which has a successful result? In this integral role on AlixPartners' Corporate Services team, you will directly support multiple consulting professionals. Responsibilities include coordinating deadlines, analyzing, and handling sensitive information, and playing a critical role in handling confidential information requests.

The Office Services Professional is a full-time role located in Boston, MA, reporting to the Office Management Director. Person will work onsite in the office Monday thru Friday. Paid relocation is not available for this position.



  • Responsible for distributing and organizing incoming/outgoing US and International Mail, Courier Services, Express Mail, and Interoffice Mail.
  • Handle facilities repair and maintenance functions requests including shred services and building work orders.
  • Process invoices for payment related to mail services, office repair, and maintenance.
  • Assist in maintaining office supplies, kitchen, conference rooms, hoteling offices and related areas by:

    • Perform kitchen cleaning, maintain kitchen supply inventory, stock shelves, refrigerators, make coffee and empty/fill dishwashers.
    • Set up conference rooms for meetings, including catering and post-meeting clean up.
    • Light maintenance and housekeeping duties within the office such as spot cleaning carpet, changing light bulbs, and lifting small to medium size boxes.
    • Assist in maintaining and organizing office supplies and snack inventories.


  • Assist in meeting set up/clean up and event planning.
  • Anticipate needs, prioritize responsibilities, effectively handle calendar conflicts, and proactively manage schedule changes.
  • Handle sensitive and urgent information from clients, AlixPartners personnel, and other contacts while exercising judgment.

What you'll need

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in an office environment.
  • Effective organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail are essential as well as good time management skills and an ability to handle multiple and competing tasks.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills with an ability to interact effectively and professionally with internal and external customers at all levels.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to be discreet and handle confidential, sensitive information.
  • Adaptable and able to work well in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment while maintaining composure and meeting deadlines and responding to urgent situations.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • In office Monday - Friday with core working hours of 8:30 AM - 5:30; willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.
