Position Description:

As a Financial Assistant II, you will monitor and reconcile various accounts, perform high-level data entry, and assist with the submission of financial transactions for the Kern National Network for Flourishing in Medicine (KNN). Provide additional support for data gathering and tracking across the KNN Program Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and keeps financial and business transactions data up-to-date and prepares reports to ensure accurate accounting records.
  • Calculates, posts, and processes transactions and other clerical finance related support. Perform a variety of routine accounting tasks.
  • Monitor standing orders and commitments for sufficient funds and grant accounts to ensure accuracy of budget assignments and expenditures.
  • Reconcile various accounts and process invoice payments.
  • Interact with faculty/staff on grant agency spending policies and procedures.
  • Prepare all deposits for external and internal funds received by the department.
  • Coordinate special projects as needed and review input and output data, prepare reports and records.
  • Investigate and correct problems and works directly with leaders to identify analytical requirements.
  • Review data for consistency, accuracy and quality and develop and execute programs to perform consistency checks.
  • Document and resolve data inconsistencies. Assist with supplemental data collection and coordinate retrieval and filing of report forms.
  • Monitor timeliness of data receipt. Resolve issues as required and code and enter data accurately within established speed requirements.

Organization, time management, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.



Preferred Schedule:




Fully Remote. Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.



Position Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.
Minimum education: High school diploma

Minimum experience: 2 years
