Position Summary

MemorialCare Medical Group is looking for an experienced, certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Cardiology practice in Long Beach, California. The NP-Cardiology (Inpatient, Outpatient) will have job duties and responsibilities in bothinpatient and outpatient settings.In this full-time role, you'll work under the supervision of MCMG Cardiology Medical Director(s).

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

• In the inpatient environment, the NP will be responsible for discharging cardiology patients
• In the outpatient environment, the NP will see cardiology patients for follow up visits in the office
• Employed position with MemorialCare Medical Group
• Full-time (1.0 FTE), Monday through Friday
• EMR: Epic

Qualifications

• Two or more years of full-time workexperience as a certified Nurse Practitioner managing cardiology patients in an inpatient setting is required
• May work across care settings to follow patients
• Current certification from an agency accredited by the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC)
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of California.
• Current furnishing license to furnish medications in the State of California
• Current DEA
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
