Job Description

The Employee Relations & Compliance Manager is responsible for fostering a positive workplace environment by addressing employee concerns, managing conflict resolution, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. This role plays a critical part in promoting a culture of fairness, respect, and accountability within the organization.

  • Employee Relations: Act as a key point of contact for employees regarding workplace issues, including conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary actions. Facilitate open communication and provide guidance on employee concerns.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure the organization adheres to all applicable labor laws, regulations, and internal policies. Develop and implement compliance programs to mitigate risk.
  • Policy Development: Collaborate with HR leadership to create, update, and communicate employee-related policies and procedures that reflect best practices and legal requirements.
  • Training & Education: Design and deliver training programs for management and staff on employee relations, compliance issues, and conflict resolution strategies.
  • Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, ensuring fair and impartial processes. Document findings and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Track and analyze employee relations metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Prepare regular reports for senior management on compliance and employee relations activities.
  • Change Management: Support organizational change initiatives by advising on employee impact and engagement strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and Benefits, to ensure a holistic approach to employee relations and compliance.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in employee relations, compliance, or human resources management, with a strong understanding of labor laws and regulations.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
